I am working under the assumption it has not been determined if KG is Kentucky or Kansas? I found this site that shows awards for the Kentucky Gaurd. None seem to match, but I am not sure if it shows all awards through history.

I was unable to find something as helpful at the Kansas gaurd mueseum website.

I also looked through the Institue of heraldry list and didn't see it, maybe you can.

Now I will post that I looked, and found nothing.

I am going to guess it is the little version of this. 10 Years Service Medal - Kansas National Guard
