✅ SOLVED Military Insignia Found on New England Farm

Got out for a short hunt yesterday on the farm near my house. Dug a great sounding signal on the legend, and this popped out. I believe it is military, but not sure. The legend on the top says "First In Last Out." It was made by N.S. Meyer Inc. in New York City. Meyer Inc. was famous for making military medals and insignias since the early 1900s all the way up to around 2000.

My research did not reveal the particular unit/outfit this piece belonged to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Early 30’s : screwback, “N.S. MEYER NEW YORK” + shield (engraved).
Mid 30’s to 1943 : screwback, “N.S. MEYER, INC. NEW YORK” + shield (engraved).
WWII : pinback, “N.S. MEYER, INC. NEW YORK” + shield (raised)
Late 40’s : Shield only (raised)
Late 40’s to early 50’s : “N.S. MEYER, INC. NEW YORK” + shield (raised and ½ size)
Early 50’s : “N.S. MEYER, INC. N.Y.C” or “N.S. MEYER, INC. N.Y.©” + shield (raised)
Mid 50’s to Mid 60’s : “N.S. MEYER, INC NY” or “N.S. MEYER, INC NEW YORK” + Shield + 9M (raised).
Mid 60’s to mid 70’s : N.S. MEYER, INC. NEW YORK” + shield + 22M (raised)
Since mid 70’s : N.S. MEYER, INC. NEW YORK MADE IN USA” + shield + 22M (raised).

It's upside down in your pictures, but it's the DUI for the US Army 65th Engineer Battalion:

The four red points commemorate the unit's World War II service. Also known as distinctive unit insignia, this item is worn on the Army Dress Blue (ASU) Uniform.

You're welcome. I have a personal database compiled from various sources over the years, which includes things like military insignia. I was sure this was a US Army DUI, so it only took a few minutes to find a visual match. I then found a picture of the actual badge from simple Google search.
