Another Magician's coin!! -pics-

Got 2 boxes of halves from a bank I hadn't hunted before. Had high hopes going in, but only found 1 silver, a 1964. Can't complain, I guess.

What I did find was another Magician's coin, my second to date. It wasn't nearly as nice as the first one I found (http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,453769.msg3213238.html#msg3213238), but still pretty exhilarating! This was made from a 1994D half, and the coin inside wasn't really a coin, just says "Estados Unidos Mexicanos". Much more wear on the inside and outside of the coin, and it doesn't fit together perfectly; I could open it with a fingernail, rather than having to resort to shaking it in a glass. Still pretty freakin' cool, though!

I guess I never thought about those types of coins being found in rolls.

LOL. I found a half of one too. I had hoped the 4 additional boxes would supply me with the other half but it didnt happen.

Maybe next week I need the insert, I have the larger part.

i also found a magicians coin in the last set of boxes i did. Bi-centenial with a regular back. My mother was going off about how much this coins was worth, on and on and on. Then i told her it what it was and how it was made, out comes the magnifying glass to inspect the seam and the rim of the coin.

Here is a link to the trick for sale. It is called Scotch and Soda. The white ring in the photo is called a bang ring. When the coin is closed you place the coin in the ring and bang it on the table and it separates.

I wonder what the foreign piece on the inside is?? Usually the Kennedy is married with a Mexican 20 centavos of 1943-1974 but on those the eagle faces left. Your piece has the eagle facing right.

It is a fake. It only has 2 fronts.

I got 2 of these in my last Loomis box. They had Mexican coins in them also.. The only reason I found them was because the coin counter would'nt take them!!
