Another New Member

I was in FL for a few years after the Military, was just starting to get into metal detecting. Moved to the Northwest & trying to learn all over again. Beaches were easier to dig.... Grew up following around grandpa while he detected, Forty now and can appreciate going out even If I don't find anything but peace & quite. Any advice for a newbie is appreciated, bought a few books and have been reading up.
