I stopped for a box of dimes and a box of nickels today - I think that's going to be my new "usual". For whatever reason I was chattier than usual, started babbling to the teller about how I bet most of the boxes they go through go to business customers, and there probably aren't a lot of weirdos like me who open them and sort through the coins. I told her about the buffalo nickel I found yesterday. Next thing I know, she's talking about how she's been saving a few dimes in her teller tray, was going to give them to her son but never did, would I like them? Why yes, I sure would, I've been looking for those and I've only found a few.

I'm up one 1959 and one 1961-D before I've even started opening the boxes! Anything I find in the rolls now is pure gravy.

very nice, just goes to show how important simple relationship building is for this hobby!

Nice job! I'm still looking for a 1959 myself. :icon_thumleft:

Well, I ended up getting skunked on the box (again), so that makes this freebie all the more important.

Sleepy Hollow, if you got one of your "need it" dimes from a teller tray, would you count it towards your list? Or are you being a stickler about getting all 48 out of rolls?
