Another Owl shot for naturegirl

I saw a barn owl hunting and being harried by magpies yesterday, so today I thought I would go and try and get some shots of it's wanderings. No luck on the barn owl, but a short eared owl made a brief appearance. Enjoy naturegirl, and anyone else

the barn owls are really cool too, I mainly see them in the morning if I go to work early. NICE!

, I went back this late afternoon and got some shots of the barn owl, but the light was fading and I had to crank up the ISO to about 1200, so I won't post them, but I'm going back tomorrow to a perching post I found today, who knows? :laughing7:

Thanks Chris, it takes quite a while searching and watching, trying to find the owls favorite routes and haunts. I've found a few areas now, and as the weather and lighting improves I hope to get some tighter shots. We have 5 species of owl around here along with 7 or 8 species of falcon, I'm going to try and get them all this year if I can. Going well this side of the Pond, how about you?

Thanks Chris, it takes quite a while searching and watching, trying to find the owls favorite routes and haunts. Alright I recon,sure would like the silver finds to pick though,oh well just have to take what is unearthed!!
