Had to get up very early today to attend a mandatory training class for my job - but was done by noon and as I was on my way home I spotted a park I hadn't noticed before. Decided to try it out. First thing I found was a Schrade "Uncle Henry" folding knife under a picnic table and then lots of coins. (None older than 1960 though.) Various odds and ends - but I did find a silver ring with a (cracked ) turquoise stone in it. The strange thing is that I had found one the previous week in another city, made by the same company! (Bell Trading Post) Weird! Thought it was a cool coincidence. Packed up all the coins and added them to the detecting jar. Someday I'll have enough saved to purchase a better detector.
