Bought this at a local field auction. It was in a stack of silver plated items and the sold price was a whopping $5.00 for the whole stack!!! It's s Rand & Crane piece from the Boston area probably circa 1920's. 8.085 ozt. Not a bad score for a pirate if I say so me self!! That is awesome! Congrats!!

Was it marked sterling?

Yes. It was marked "sterling" on one place. "Rand & Crane" in another spot, and 925 and a company stamp at the end of the bottom part. I've compared it to other pieces and it's all good!! It's beautiful to see in person. The pics don't do it justice.

Good point!! [emoji16]. Next time it will be a box full!! Happy hunting this weekend. I'm heading to Brimfield Ma antique show tomorrow and hope to find something good.
