Found this the other day, I want to say a wedge or a chopper.
Pros, definite flake removal, found among other artifacts, the classic scallop shape on the business end

Cons, no battering on the end that would take the blow of it was a wedge, the opposite edge looks like a weird fracture more than flake removals, and no definite tool shape like a full grove axe or something

I wouldn’t be surprised with a core Id but that one edge looks More purposely worked and may even show some pressure flaking

Here’s some other close ups of the edge I think looks too worked to be from core removals

Sure looks small and fragile. Pot lid fire pops is what I'm seeing in some of those pics. I'm also sure that I see cortex in pic 2. Fragment of a larger piece is my guess.

I appreciate the input, here a bit more information that may help

The first set is how the same material reacts to heat it tried many different lights and backgrounds but the camera kept adjusting for the pink color so it may not be as obvious as it looks in hand

Second here are some other examples, I’ve struggled to find a name for the material but may be called hertha, it’s very common around here and I find many tools and flakes made from it, I consider it the low quality local option because they definitely brought in better material from elsewhere.

I will say I do agree the one side is odd with almost a quartzite looking fracture but it’s clearly not cortex like you can see in some of the pictures.
Hope that clears up some things thanks for looking
