Found this the other day, for all the stuff found on that site it has stubbornly refused to give up anything concretely dateable. any idea what it is, could help me figure a date, my best guess is late 1800’s to early 1900’s. It’s thin and looks to have had a silver/ nickel plating.

Probably off a piece of furniture, but no idea of what.
Cool recovery though. 👍

My guess is some type of decorative moulding that went over wood, possibly furniture. The nail holes are small, so the fastener would be small and used for wood. I see you use the Whites Spectrum...I am longtime Whites user too. nice find !

With those types of pin attachments, you can rule out it being attached to wood.

The strap end option is intriguing maybe like a belt… makes the other finds that were very close relevant. The book or furniture bits are still a definite possibility but I’m leaning a belt or something similar
