I haven't yet been able to find an image of another one to compare and make sure but maybe it is this one--?

Yes, I believe you’re correct. It looks like D over W.E rather than D over W.R and I can just make out some of the letters for ‘KING’ on one side and some for the letters for an archaic spelling of Aylesbury (which is in Bucks) on the other side. The initials are for the Innkeepers William & Elizabeth Dawney.

This will be from what is now called the King's Head Inn in Aylesbury. It's one of our oldest pubs, with cellars dating back to the 13th Century and parts of the above-ground building dating back to the 15th Century.

"Following the English Civil War coins were in short supply. Inns like The King's Head took to minting trade tokens on this site when William Dawney was innkeeper in 1657. They could be used as currency and you can see copies of these tokens on display."
