Metal Detecting
Just returned from a short trip up to my Adirondack Mountain property. While metal detecting there again I found the following: a large old horse shoe, an old #8 flatiron, an old iron farm/logging clevis hook with a mountain rock wedged in, 3 old shotgun shell heads (WINCHESTER NO 10 REPEATER and WINCHESTER NO 12 NEW RIVAL circa early 1900s and a newer IMPERIAL 16 CANADA), and a smaller hollow brass-copper piece that I am not quite sure of ? Also 2 turkey feathers. 029.webp030.webp031.webp032.webp033.webp127.webp128.webp130.webpAs always thanks for looking.

Liking the iron

Cool "OLD" iron!!! Complete!!!!

I agree the iron is sweet.

Hollow piece might be the top to a spark plug.
Nice finds. The old iron is neat.

That flatiorn is simply a cool find.

The flat iron is my first one found (with) a handle. The horse shoe was actually laying on top of a boulder where it had probably been laying for many a year. I knew that small part looked kind of familiar so spark plug makes sense as it probably was from a chain saw or logging skidder given where it was found. Thanks!
