Another V nickel tonight

I managed yet another V nickel tonight...very worn, plus a 36 buffalo, and two wars, a 42 and a 45. I also pulled a semi early date 38 d Jefferson, a first for me....all in all an interesting hunt!....the dime was given in change...thought it was a mercury proof at first...hadn't seen this type yet...it would be really cool to pull a flowing hair half dime or any other half dime for that matter....I'll aim lower and hope for a shield nickel.

Great finds all around. Congrats ! I especially like the 1938-D Jefferson.
The D & the S of that transitional year were always pretty tough to find back in the day. I don't know how others feel about it, but I always felt that the "8" in the 1938 Jeff was the strangest looking "8" I have ever seen on a coin. Tough to see with the naked eye. Cool though. I still have a few. Always saved the "38" & "39" dates, as well as the 1960 "bar over 0" coin. War nickels & the 1950-D of course, that it is easier to find today than it was back in the day. Could never find one when I was a kid. And that's my birth year.

You are right about the 8 on the 38 nickel...I have to get a magnifying glass out to double check it...getting the d mint was nice...now if I can get the S mint....I'll keep my eyes out for the 50 d!
