I came across this piece while cleaning out my grandfather's house after his death. I have searched and searched and I cannot find another one like it anywhere. I think it is made of clay and is very heavy. It has four holes. Two on each side. Two of which are a tad lower than the other two. The bottom is not flat so it cannot stand alone. Can only be layed down or leaned against something. It is approximately 18" wide and 11" tall. Refer to pictures. I don't know where to start to get some info on this. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Tnet from Toronto Bama! :hello:
It looks old whatever it is... I'm thinking middle eastern in origin.

Likely something you'd see hanging off the side of a camel in the Sahara Desert. :icon_scratch:

I'm with Dave! If it's heavy now think what it would weigh with two gallons of water in it. Lacking a photo from above I guess it's basically shaped like a banana?
Is the area where the holes are solid from side to side?

Neat find, congrats and Welcome!
