I found this big chunk of iron sitting on top of the root cellar at an abandoned farm house in the Ozarks. It weighs in at 7 pounds, is about 8 3/4" long, and tapered like a soda bottle. It has markings on one end that include a "Mack Truck" bulldog, the numbers 22QM201 and 41216L, and a capital "T" inside of a hexagon. Can I assume it is a tractor or big truck part? If so, what kind? It will make a great pestle to pound acorns into a pulp! Thanks for looking, Sub 8-)

I've seen pins similar to that on dump trucks, but they weren't tapered. I'll check with my brother in law, he's a parts manager at a Mack dealer, and give him the numbers you posted. Maybe something will come up.

Yes It's a Mack kingpin. Mack uses a tapered pin, Holds the spindle assembly to the front axle.
