Any bottle experts? What are these?

These colored pieces were found in Illinois. One has a 14 on it while the other has ACE.
Both were from an 1800s homesite but that’s all I know. Any ideas what type of bottles these were from and ages? Both are the size of a US quarter.

Not giving us a whole lot to go on, but the glass items look like fragments of soda bottles from the 1850-1880 if I had to guess. There were thousands of different molds across the country at that time so hopefully, someone more local to your area will recognize the bottles they came off of. You definitely need to investigate this spot more closely if you're finding pieces like this.

I don't find any Illinois beer or mineral water bottles that fit the bill on sodasandbeers.com, it may be one from there that is undocumented though...
