Any Civil War Artillery Experts? Need help Identifying

These pieces of shrapnel were found on the same farm that we(Ronin) found the whole Dyer shell. These pieces are different from that. The pics might not show real weel, but there seems to be a small 1/4 inch indented ring around the top of the shells. It is right below where the top of the shell starts to round of into a blunt point.

I have not seen anything close in any of my books. Is it some sort of a parrot shell. Probably Federal based on where they are found, but could be wrong.

Any ideas.

I believe that might be the bottom of the shell, maybe where the brass sabot attached to it.

I thought about that too, but the curve of the shell seems to be more from the top of a shell. I am not real sure.
