George Kell, and Hal Newhauser are in the Hall of Fame....but not so much "famous" players....
Johnny Pesky, Walt Dropo, and Harvey Keuhn were popular in their day....
An old timer Tigers fan would be all over that....

As a team, their record was terrible.
Johnny Pesky got up to the 20th best shortstop of all time; that's about as good as it got.

As Don said they had a pretty bad record that year (50-104) but in 2003 they did worse (43-119)

They don't look like autographs to my untrained eye.

Check this out. Here's all the team and Stats w/pics. 1952 Detroit Tigers Batting, Pitching, & Fielding Statistics | Baseball-Reference.com We had the Korean war goin on at that time. Looks to me like a lot of rookies and old timers.....You might want to have a sports autograph store look at that.....Cool piece of baseball history.
