Any idea what this could be? Birdstone, maybe?

I found this in a field in North Mississippi. Could it possibly be a birdstone? or just a natural polished stone. It is smooth on all sides.



1 5/8" length and 1 3/8" wide.

Any information would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
