Any idea what this is? - Re-post from Today's Find (2 days ago)

Hi - I'm new to the site and still learning to navigate it. I posted this on Today's Find previously but still not sure what it is. Found 3 of these at an estate sale - someone suggestions have been ashtrays, candy dish (too small), salt dish but I don't think so. Could be simply just a paperweight or figurine but why would someone have 3 identical ones, so I'm not sure.
It appears to be a mouse or other type of rodent under a leaf. Made of bronze and heavy for its size. The length of the leaf is about 3 1/2" long, the animal is about 2" long, and the height of both is about 2 1/2". They individually weigh 8 oz.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this or know what they might be? Thanks!

Thanks all for the chime-ins - I didn't think of a pipe holder and I'm sitting right next to my grandfather's pipes, lol!

It is a "ring dish" - a place to put rings while you wash hands or dishes. That is why there is more than one - multiple sinks.
