Any idea what this is? 1933 - 1936 Chevy radiator cap

Found this in an old park about 6" deep, strangely I also found a dateless Standing Liberty quarter on the surface nearby. Anyone got any ideas about what it might be?

Thanks,

It did have a rubber gasket or what was left of one.

1933 - 1936 Chevy radiator cap. Yours is the die cast version. The hole in the center was for mounting a mascot. See this previous post with the same cap but in stamped steel.
