Welcome to Tnet, can,t help with the ring tho it looks vaguely familiar.

Welcome to TNet from upstate NY. It's a Christian cross adopted by Prussia and later Germany as a war symbol, called by them an Iron Cross. It's history for this use dates back centuries.

Good find! Got to be a membership ring of sorts? Looks like a Templer cross?

St George Cross.

Found this ringing a cornfield about 30 miles west of Charleston SC..about 8 in deep..rang up 81..anybody have any ideas?
It’s a beauty, here’s one I found recently

CreakyDigger..you might be on to something with the iron cross..found out there was a pow camp about 3 miles down the road and I did find a 1943 silver dime in the same area

Send it to me and I’ll check it out

Any marks inside? And, either you have huge fingers or that is a ladies/childs ring.:dontknow::laughing7:

Very interesting ring... and i have to agree with Tony's thought of Templar Cross.

TH stated "St George's" but it is not.

I am curious... so let me ask... Are there any markings inside the ring ?
