I’m hoping to get some opinions on this large circular piece I dug. It appears to be cast iron, but I’m not exactly sure what it is.I've also recovered a large tack-style buckle and instrument reed pieces.

The interesting part is the location—I found it within a few hundred yards of an officer’s staff button, Dyer shell sabot fragments, and a Minnie ball.

Do you think these pieces could be Civil War related, or am I just reaching here? Any ideas or insight would be appreciated. Thanks for taking a look!

Need something in photos to judge the size!!
Sorry about that! Will have to get one when I get home. I would say its 4" -5" in diameter.

It's a body to frame mount spacer and a glove box catch for an old car.
I disagree on both counts, I've never seen a body spacer that was 1- threaded in the hole, 2- stepped like this disk is, the other item being about 4" square is way too big to be a glove box catch.

Thanks for the input. Im in a heavily wooded area so maybe there pieces from logging?
