It doesn't look like dino egg to me. I don't think that Illinois even has any formations that produce any dinosaur eggs.

To me, it looks like a stone concretion. Maybe this will help: http://www.bcmnh.org/naturalhistory.html

Someone on a more recent post has a very similar item.
I believe it's under the fossil section.
 

It is indeed a Classic Concretion... Its pretty neat when the middles fall out like that. still neat to keep!! :thumbsup:
