Was encrusted when found. This is what it looks like after a vinegar bath. Acts a bit like low grade silver, but, almost looks plated. I think it more pitted than plated though. Has a bit of weight, so, not aluminum. I don't see any evidence of an attachment spot for a loop, so, not likely a pendant unless it was originally in a bezel. Any ideas?

An amulet I'm thinking to offer guidance I assume. The amulets I've always carried in my pocket, have always looked like this in one form or the other.

Yes, it's a modern "pocket piece" amulet loosely styled on an Aztec sun god. These things are widely sold in sets in a cloth or leather pouch with different aspirational messages... love, protection, inspiration, wisdom, faith or whatever. Popularly sold in 'New-Ager' shops of the kind that offer joss-sticks, tarot cards, 'healing' crystals etc and variously themed for Runic/Viking, Tolkien, Pre-Columbian, Native American, Angels and a bunch of others. Often they're made from pewter, but it could be any of a number of white metal alloys.

Don't know who the maker 'NNW' might be, but Dr. Google will probably find him eventually.
