Any Idea's

Hi folks me again found this at the same site as my last post. I think it might be something from a label as decoration, or I have no idea. Let all you folks take a gander...

i owuld take a side shot but its about 1/8 of an inch not that wide at all more like four pages if a sticky note

I guess what I was wondering is it completely flat or are the edges angled down like a lid?
I guess you are saying its flat.

I think it could have been the top to something.
In the bottom pic it looks like something was broke from the top middle ( a hinge?) and it looks like there were tabs or clips on the sides but they are broken off now.

Tiny snuff or pill box cover perhaps? (seen small ones but admittedly, not this small).

Agree with the snuffbox top theory...I found one the same size ages ago. The hinges or clasps that would've held it to the rest of the box were probably either poorly attached or of a cheaper metal composition, and are long gone.
