It looks like it was attached to some thing else? It is 1.5 In. in length and 5/16's on the large cone end. Thanks in advance, HH :icon_thumright:

BK, I don't know what it is, but I found the top screw piece, which is almost identical to yours, and if I can find it in one of my many junk plastic cases, I'll post it. Breezie

The top screw piece..as Breezie calls it, reminds me of the screws used to connect wires to the transformers on my old train set as a child, so i'll guess it's something electrical.

Ah I think thats it. :thumbsup: The "cap" looks like an electrical fixture ball nut. I dont believe they belong together. But I think Charlie got it. Someone threaded an electrical ball nut onto a tin spout/nozzle. If we are correct, it will thread off.

I kinda thought also that it might be an oil can spout but the knurled top is soldered to the cone. I can see the same silver color in the joint between the two parts? I'm stumped. :dontknow: HH
