Found this in an earlier hunt. I thought it was a ring, but after cleaning I realized it wasn’t. The holes are threaded. Any ideas what it might be? Thanks

Reminds me of a "stop collar". Slides over a shaft or axle, then little allen screws go in the holes and tighten down to prevent whatever else is on that shaft from moving past it.

Maybe the inside of a bearing retainer ?
