Movie prop that the gold paint faded on?

The Swiss go by "Suisse" or "Helvitica". If it was from Switzerland it wouldn't say "Swiss" - unless made for foreign sale like their watches.

100 Troy Oz would weigh about 3.1 kilograms, or just under 7 pounds (and be worth about $121,000 on today's spot market).

So..., how much does it weigh? :)

Weighs 6.8lbs.
My concern it doesn’t have a makers mark like all the others I see on eBay. Gotta be too good to be true lol.. I guess I’m going to need a test kit, magnet, or just take it somewhere to get looked at. Thanks you.

Doesn't look like Gold to me.
Looks more like Brass.
I'm with Charlie...
A movie prop that has faded and tarnished.
Funny though... It weighs about right.. 6.86 pounds, so 100 troy oz's of brass??

What are the exact dimensions? Length, width & thickness please.

I do not have it on me at the moment but if I had to guess I’d say 7” long, 4” wide, and half and inch thick.

I'm going to guess that it was a fake made to fool someone in the past. The drill holes and the file mark on the side is where they tested and checked it out. It looks like brass, but polished up ? Might fool someone pretty easily in the past. I've seen real bars that had been "drilled and filled" both gold and silver. Nowadays, they can be tested pretty quickly without even scratching them, but in the past it was probably easier to get away with.

Or like mentioned above, maybe a prop or paperweight. But I've made some big mistakes when buying and have known others do it too. The greed will get ya and you overlook the obvious sometimes.

I don’t believe so, i’m trying to think counter weight for something like what? What makes me think otherwise is all the detail. Why would a simple counterweight have all the details? Still have yet to take it someowhere. Thank you all
