Where did you find the button? I'm guessing, but this looks like cast one-piece biconvex copper-alloy example with integral shank often found in the UK. There are examples found by English detectorists that have a patterned front. Difficult to date exactly, but I reckon from the c.17th. Good find!

Its an 18th C Blow-hole type. (what you can't see on this photo is the blow-hole angle)
