Can anyone give me information on this coin? This is another one that came from my grandfather.

Philippine coins (under the sovereighnty of the U.S.) dated from 1903 to 1919 were struck at the Philadelphia and San Francisco Mints. During that time they were minted in Bronze (1/2 and one centavos), copper-nickel (5 centavos) and silver (ten, twenty, 50, and one peso pieces). Yours is from the San Francisco mint (note the "S" to the left of the date, under the 'dot').
A few years ago that coin ranged in value from about $5 in VF up to $85 in MS-63 condition. Over 10 million were minted that year; the rarest in that series is the 1911S coin though (for some reason) the 1912 S is of greater value in the higher qualities.
