Any serious cache hunters in south mo/springfield mo area ?

If so, and you dont mind doing a bit of research, arent scared of caves, and believe in cherokee indian treasure caches, contact me via the message system here. I have a very good lead found in a letter dated 1918. I will never get around to it, and would like to pass it along to someone that would make an effort at actually locating it.

As i seem to have more pressing things to do than monitor posts here i am posting the info for all to see. There is a letter in the University of Oklahoma library dated 1918. In the Thomas A Chandler collection box 1 folder 18. A man named Geo. E. Trussler is asking for help in recovering a Cherokee treasure of 1 million dollars in gold, possibly coin or bullion, from a cave in S. Mo. He may mean south Missouri or possibly Springfield Mo. The reply he got said they knew of no Cherokee treasures and if he found it it would belong to him.When i got the copies of the letters the archivist wad Carolyn G Hanneman at 405-325-5045 and channeman@ou.edu . I would have posted the lettets but they are marked not to copy or reproduce. Good Luck.
