So I went into one of my pick up banks today and one of my cool tellers saved me this, I'm not into these gold dollar coins at all ( you know I do halves) but, seeing as she saved them for me I bought them anyway, I've never seen them incased like this and marked Uncirculated. I looked on Ebay and don't really see any incased like this on there. Are these of any value you think. Now if you're going to get on here and be a smart ass, save your coments, those of you who know me, feel free to let me know what you think. Thanks in advance, and Good luck to everyone hunting today! HH, Maverick.

I saw a guy who tried to buy some Ike dollars from me a few weeks ago on eBay trying to sell a roll of these for $100+. No bids, no interest. If they truly are uncirculated, I'd try to flip them, otherwise I would just dump 'em and spend them.

And if you do dump them, empty the tube and buy up some silver quarters. :laughing7:

Hey Boris, ya, I wasn't sure if they were of anymore value being unopened in the Reserve tube still, I just bought them from her to be nice because she saved them for me. I've been super busy here lately, hence the reason I haven't been able to post my finds lately, the end of this week I should have a little more time to get on the site a little more. Hope you have a great TurkeDay with your family! HH, Maverick.

Here they are online. I vote just spend them. It sounds like a private mint scam like Franklin Mint. https://www.theworldreserve.com/us-dollars/presidential-dollars/ballistic-rolls/

I figured you were busy, it's all good, hope you and yours are well too, buddy, and if you're busy before Thanksgiving, happy Thanksgiving!

Lol, duh, I guess I could have looked that up too, don't know why I didn't do it, lol. Thanks Boris.

It's all good. :) not a problem, bud!

Though I wouldn't mind getting the 200 + dollars they're asking for them.

Probably not. Here's an awful story that's related.

Coin purchases don

Wow, that guy screwed up for sure, I guess I'll just hand them to the gastation to fill the tank up in the truck for our Thanksgiving trip down south we are going to take to visit my buddy and his family for Thanksgiving. It's about 3 hours south of us, we're leaving Wed morning. I want to get there early and hit up every bank in the area before they close, I'm going to show my childhood freind how to do this hobby in his area, we're bringing 8 boxes of halves with us to search with them while we're there too. We leave Friday morning and I'm going to dump everything there before we come back home and pick up 4 more boxes for Friday night to search at our house too. I'm hoping to find something sitting in a bank in their area, like SOLID ROLLS, probably not but, never hurts to hope. Maverick.

That seal reminds me of the revenue stamps on old cigar boxes and such. Like others mentioned, a private firm trying to inflate the value of new common dollar coins. I wonder how many non-collectors bought these, only to later find out that they are worth face or close to face value. At least you have a nifty coin tube and you are not out anything.

Pretty interesting. I love unusual finds that require research. Still pretty cool though...

If these were mine, I would list them on ebay for $1.50 plus S&H and see if you have any takers. I would have a low threshold for dumping them and moving on.

Thanks Scott, Yes, I wonder how many people bought these things for more than face, this tube on there site is $228.00, so I'm assuming someone paid that for this tube at some point. HH, Maverick.

I cashed out my 401K for a truly wonderful Franklin Mint set. It included the likeness of our forefathers.

I also bought a matching set on Credit.

was this bad?

Hey MI, I'm begining to debate that now, it is only $50.00, my wife does all our Ebay listings, maybe I'll let her take a crack at listing them after the holiday, just to see. HH, Maverick.

If you can afford to just set them aside for awhile, since they are the first one to come out. Make them part of your "hey thats neat but worth only face value" collection.
