Found this at a Consignment Shop. Does anyone have any ideas what time period it might be from? Or where it might have come from?

I have a couple of those type things that I picked up overseas either in Germany or Crete. Since then I've seen them for sale in the states, too. Usually in the $5-$10 range. Mine are brass and rather useless. Sit-arounds. Dust-gatherers.

Sorry I can't be more encouraging. If you find yours is old, as in ancient, that would be nice.

I'd say it looks like some of the brass that comes from pakistan or india...... but just a guess

It looks like a middle eastern coffee or tea server. The shape keeps the grounds in the lower level.

I'd say probably contemporary.

I agree...I've seen them pour chai (sp?) out of such things in Kenya...
