If it were a whole coin, how big would it be? Dime size? Quarter? Knowing the size of the coin might help some here to identify it for you.

It measures right at 12.7 mm on each radius , and almost 1mm thick. Here is a photo of the other side.

Can you show it next to a quarter ? I think knowing the exact radius is going to help. Maybe set it on top of a quarter, a half, etc.

I think it may be a coin of Philip V of Spain. See the S then the rosette type symbol then the V then rosette then D.

And you would know the denomination if you knew what size it was before it was cut.... Anyway good ID Bramblefind. :thumbsup:

At 12.7 mm across the radius as posted, the coin would have measured right at 1 inch in diameter.

Now was that really so hard to just tell us ? Sorry. When I should have been in math class I was in the woods smoking weed... It was a LONG time ago though. Cool find ! I am still waiting for my first Spanish Silver.
