Anybody do quarters

Just wondering if any one is having any luck with quarters... I got one out of a box last week so I am thinking of doing it again....

Heck no I hate quarters. I have done about $2500 and 1 lone silver. I would rather get blanked on halves anyday for the same amount of money and hassle

I've done a few boxes with silver in a couple. I have better luck with halves dimes and nickels though. Quarters are easier to dump though.

I got one silver once. 1964 BU with a clear double die. Real nice coins.

In the same box I got a Maine Proof Quarter, which was cool.

Other than that, silver is just too rare in them. In my life I have seen:

1 1953 quarter at fudruckers in Potomac, Maryland. My dad snagged it from me before I put it in a video game. I was 13.

1 1948 in change. That has been it in my short life.

I do about 70 bags of $500 each year. Very easy to search, easy to dump, pretty easy to get. The only thing bad about them is the lack of silver. My best bag had 3, but I have found 3 a few times. They are in fact the only coin besides dollars that I haven't had a really good score on. One of these days. Also I keep the newest issues for a while, just in case there is an major error, that I haven't heard about yet. The National Parks Series contains some very pretty coins. JMO

I've done some quarters, but they've all been skunks.

Super duper easy to dump...much easier than halves.

Quarters are easy to get and easy to dump but in the few thousand dollars worth of quarters I have been through I have found 3 silvers and that is it. If you can't get halves, dimes or nickels or if your dump bank complains about you dumping, quarters may be your only option.

I just started doing boxes every onece in a while.

I've never found silver, but I did find a kansas error.

I'll keep doing them now and then with hopes for that lone silver.

I used to do boxes and rolls of quarters. The boxes were all skunks so I don't do the boxes of quarters anymore. I have done a few $1000 bags, and I still buy CWR's here and there. The first quarter bag was the worst. The only silver in that bag was a well worn 1946 that I planted in some quarters I dumped a few weeks prior. I was wanting to test the bank coin machine for silver reject before I would commit to buy the bags from it. I've run 2 bags through my sorter since then, only found a couple of 1964's and some canadian. The sorter makes short work of bulk coins like that, but the yield is still lower than dimes. If you have the time and energy to work the large numbers usually required, there is silver to be found in quarters.

on a rare basis...no more than 2 boxes at once, i just cant take more than 100 rolls at a time, without my eyes popping out of my head and i get silver here and there, but no more than 1 per box yet...

I haven't done quarters yet. I'd much rather do halves or cents.

I am forced to do quarters today. My bank told be because of the long weekend that they did not get the order in for my halves and no dimes available. It was either pennies or quarters, so quarters it is. I have not had much luck anyways with the halves out of 4 boxes I only found 1 40%er. Dimes seem to be the best, I get one per box usually. I think I need a new bank.
