I may have missed this on here somewhere, but does anyone have an Infinium that they would like to talk about? How deep do they go? Can they discriminate? weight and balance? Comparisons with other known machines?
I've just spent a bundle on two top-of-the-line machines (DFX and Explorer) but if an Infinium lives up to the crap the local dealer is telling me, I may have to dig deeper and buy this one also? Can anybody help me out with some real life trials?

Re: Anybody have an Infinium?Yes,but...

I have yet to really use mine.Bought it because I needed a cheap alternative to a Minelab PI machine for gold nugget hunting in hot ground in Arizona. Won't get out that way til October to try it tho. I also heard some relic hunters in Virginina are saying the Infinium has made their old hunting grounds new again.I can't vouch for this personally yet. Guess I better turn mine on and see if can figger it out.,huh?

No I have a Mercury.

Is this the new garrett? I have the EXP II and Dfx also. And even though i feel their as good, if not better than anything out there. Like you, i'm thinking about adding another detector. The Fisher CZ 3D Not that i need it. It just peeks my interest. HH

Excuse me for asking a dumb question. Have you posted this question on the Infinium Forum?

Your question would be directed toward Infinium users on this forum. I learned a lot by reading the threads here. Also have you read this Infinium discrimination article

(Yes as a PI the Infinium will wack the Ex 11 and DFX in the depth department- but it only has rudimentary metal ID.)

I am presently waiting for amother 2 tone PI to be delivered to me this month the GS5.
