Anybody know what date range this trigger guard might be?

I went out in the woods for a little while this evening and dug this trigger guard. I've found things from the colonial period through the early 1900's on this farm. I'm curious to hear what y'all think about age!

I would say late 1780s to 1830 fancy trigger guards like mostly found on fowling guns or smooth bore muskets
