Hi! Brandon stick to the swinging probably be more productive. :laughing9: :laughing9: Charlie

The East Branch of the Swift River in Byron, Maine has long been known for gold, including some fair sized nuggets. Much of the bedrock consists of "books" of upended schist. The entire bedrock system vibrates as large boulders run down the streambed during Spring runoff. This causes the layers to open up and trap gold. I have found decent gold in many areas of bedrock high above the ordinary Summer stream level. There are some dredgers along the river. In the Summer, some of the best gold is high and dry and it's a great area for sniping the gold catching areas that were under water in the Spring.
