While waiting for a contact at a jobsite today , I took a little hike up a creek bottom and happed upon an area where trash had been used as backfill. The stuff is not terribly old....I would say ...from the fifties. Eyeballed hunreds of bottles and things , and anywhere the ground had been disturbed (animal burrows) there would be a pile of bottles. Probably 8 ft deep covering 10 acres?? Saw lots of common cobalts....pefumes ...meds....sodas...two Det. area 1/2 pt creamers with 3c deposit.
Only thing I pocketed was this cobalt pepper shaker...accordian shaped.

As well as this evil monster.........very old snapper skull.

This property is in the Sterling Heights area and is M-dot owned. It is secluded and noone would hassle a digger there. If anyone is interested in this era of junque , I would be happy to show them the spot....Joe

Nice junque. If I lived up there i'd check it out. There may be older stuff deeper in. :sign13:

Great pics love the turtle skull, might be some more great finds there.

Neat turtle skull! :icon_thumright:

nice eye find, and very cool snapper skull!
