Around Chicago suburbs at intersections I have stopped the car to go in middle of road to collect dropped Ratchets. 1 piece at a time. Some have life span left and do work, some not quite promising quality. At intersections if you become more observant, you will find Lots of useful metal objects....

This 1 is the biggest one I found.
It can only Tighten lug nuts (Right ). Can't turn left. But works well tightening.View attachment 2244710

It has the appearance of being a Snap - on OR at least a look-a-like anyway! I'd open it up and clean it OR contact the manufacture and see about a repair ' replacement tool !

I just spreayed soaked the head with WD 40 corrosion spray several times on 2 separate days.
It has a shifting notch on the back but is blocked on R position.
