In the last two weeks I have found three clad half dollars that have been disassembled. Then yesterday I found the heavier copper part with the Mexican logo stamped on one side and the original half dollar reverse on the other.

Magicians coins, I find them all the time, I found 3 this week allready, sometimes I find only half of them like you did too. HH, Maverick.

I have found a total of three of them. Always a pleasant surprise to my mind.

I find at least one a month. I give them to the tellers—they seem to really like 'em.

Here is the trick they are used for HH, Maverick.

Outstanding. Thank you all. And thanks for the video.

Hey Smitty, i've come across quite a few over the years as well, 2 noteable finds were a 2-headed bicentennial half dollar and a 2-headed 1996 half dollar, the only way i found them was because they made a thud sound rather than a clink sound, I usually open them and toss them into a jar for anything unusual, i just can't put a fake/foreign coin into circulation.
nice find,

I still have not found one, is it wierd that I want to?

I find them every few weeks there cool I save them.

I get about 1 every 4 boxes or so, have a couple rolls of them. Haven't seen an Obama half dollar lately, those always go down the storm drain when I do get them.
