Anyone ever hear of a ghost town here?

Was founded by a french guy....had a link but lost it. LOL. Native American Wife. Ghost town shut down in the 1950's all thats left is 1 building........Google Earth 44.02N 88.80W

I looked at the site with "live map" and it appears to have several houses and what may be some kind of resort or maybe cabins just north on the river. The big field at the coordinates might be very good if the town was centered there or very near. Maybe an exploratory visit to talk to some of the locals would yeild more info.
