I may not like getting the repair bills, but so long as the car is in good running shape and still has a good body, why not :dontknow: It surely beats paying an installment on a car loan every month.

Besides, once you pay off the new car, it's not worth much anyway. My 2 cars have a total of just over 500,000 miles and still going strong :icon_thumleft:

Haha... I know what you mean! I just dropped $1,250 at Toyota yesterday to get my timing belt, pulley's & case replaced on my '94 4-Runner. Not too happy when stuff like that comes out of no where, but I'm just thankful that I had the cash to pay for it. Since I got my truck about 6 or 7 years ago... I've had to have the engine & transmission rebuilt, the shocks, brakes, rotors, struts, spark plug wires, spark plugs, battery, and 5 new tires replaced (LONG story)... yeah, I'd say that thing better be kickin' when I have kids!!! :D But I still love my truck.

My truck is 12 years old and has 135000 miles on it. The thing I love about it is IT'S PAID FOR! In my younger days I had a XK150MC jag. and a MGA. They both had electrical problems. All the copper contacts and connectors turned green and lost contact, one at a time. Back in the 50's that was typical of all English cars,
