anyone ever try hitting casinos? I just dumped some halves there.

Luckily enough I have a casino that's about 30min from my house. I went there the other night for some poker (cleaned up btw). I dumped about 200$ in halves there. They had fun counting them out. Also the dealers love it when you tip them Ikes. Win win, and I mean win.

Do the 50 cent slot machines pay out in coins, or are they all paper ticket payouts like Atlantic City?

Heh no they all print out ticket vouchers. Btw, they didn't have any halves for purchase. I never tried going to any local coin shops yet, none within 30min drive.

AC does not have coin-op slot machines, at least to my knowlege. They did try to bring back IKE slot machines, but could not get enough IKES. They all go by dollar bills and you get credits, 80 credits for a $20 bill. The casino business is to make money, I am sure if/when they had half dollar slot machines, someone along the lines cherry picked the silver out anyway.

Also, my local coin shop does not even buy ikes, they say to spend them elsewhere. unfourtinate, I could be rich off selling ikes too
