anyone hunting in jewelry only mode ?

my new e trac has a jewelry only mode.and i know there are quite a few machines out there that are capable of notch discrimination.has anyone done any research on the return for time invested vs hunting coin mode.with inflation accelerating and looking like no hope for discontinuation of the paper dollar anytime soon. clad totals are worth less every day.since gold [and the stones mounted in gold jewelry] are now the primary source of a chance to find anything really good or valuable.i was wondering if anyone out there is ignoring coin signals to try and concentrate on jewelry only.a long road for sure with no occasional quarters to cheer u up.but if one was to persevere??. id sure be a lot happier with one gold item in a week vs the 2 to 4 dollars in modern i avg per hunt.
