Anyone know of any good beaches to hunt along the Texas coast?

I'm new to the metal detecting sport. I recently bought a Viper Trident detector and am looking for some good areas to hunt along the Texas coast.

Any help would be appreciated.

if you are ever around galveston just go across on the ferry to bolivar island and head out to crystal beach - you can drive your car on the beach and there are miles of great beach hunting - go after a holiday and you find all kind of goodies.
