Anyone metal detecting in Japan?

I'm new to metal detecting and would like to hear from anyone who does it in Japan.

I'm trying to get my first detector now and would like to get pointers etc and share info, not necessarily on detecting spots but technique etc.

be careful what detector you get, Ive had some trouble recently http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/general-discussion/451850-advise-please.html its very hard to find anywhere here that sells them other than amazon...for me anyway

Bought a couple of detectors on Ebay from America and had free postage and no problems
