anyone with a metal detector or Magnet Fishing will be arrested :angry5:

Ain't that some crap. They would rather things stay buried or rust away instead of being recovered and shared. Bury the knowledge. Allow the history to be destroyed.

Dumb dumb dumb.

And to think... PEOPLE DRINK THAT.... SHOWER in it,,, Brush their teeth with it...Cook with it... etc etc etc.
You would think they would be begging metal detectorists to remove the trash in there.
Go figure ... another idiot made rule.
Sheesh... crimes could be solved even.
I mean who would want that stuff to stay... they should be offering a reward to the person(s) who clean and remove the most waste.
Nothing like an old gas powered boat motor complete with gas and oil in your drinking water.

What morons.... frigging stupid as the day is long.

Too bad this isn,t in the politics forum so you could tell us how you really feel. I feel the same.

Yep I agree 100%
When We Had 3 years to hunt a drained Lake here,
The sheer amount of Lead from Fishing weights alone was Maddening ! & I doubt we even put a dent in it .

Not to mention everything else.

The way the Lefties hate lead, you,d think they,d be happy to see somebody clean it up!

A Lot of state's have become very strict concerning metal detecting. I live in Delaware & you're only allowed to detect on the ocean side of the beach. I live in a tri-state area and have to travel to another state to detect.

More great points on the lead. Stupid is as stupid does.

I gave away Well over 100 Lbs of Fishing Weights, to Friends & Family members who fish, Not including Anchors . Not sure
Of content on Them. no need to worry about dead bodies here.

but imagine the thoughts when the water comes back to Meade. and it will come back one day. as to whether it will
be used again, :dontknow: they may get desperate and find a more
long term source before then , can't say.

I still like the idea of Piping water from Greenland, although Cost
will be a Concern

South Cove Marina Boat Launch Is Closed - Lake Mead

South Cove Marina Launch Is GONE!! The boat ramp and marina at South Cove Lake Mead are totally out of use. The Lake Mead Low water level has dropped at least 50 ft below the end of the boat launch. The camping area is closed. There is a dirt road and an area along the shoreline that could be used as a boat ramp but it's rocky and muddy. be careful

Way beyond my area code jeff, but thanks for the warning!

Simple it's a national park. No.
Rules are meant to be in place to PROTECT... not to add to the "destruction".

That's why there are "exceptions"... And "amendments" to the rules.

For the general overall "betterment".

Idiocy of the mentality of "well thats the rules"... NO MATTER WHAT... is simply narrow and close minded... and directly falls into the category of lazy and lame.

yes , national park. in my mind that doesn't make government or archeological greed right though
