Anyone near 29 Palms / Yucca Valley, CA open to meeting up or sharing some tips?

Beach detectorist here visiting the Yucca Valley area for a few weeks and would love to learn more about gold prospecting / nugget hunting and give it a shot myself during my time here. Always wanted to get into this side of the hobby. If anyone is local to this area and open to show me the ropes a bit I'd be happy to meet up. I can offer some fresh enthusiasm and ice cold bevys.

Any advice or resources would be appreciated in general. Been looking for information on the Dale District.

For a detector I don't have access to a specialty gold setup yet so I'll be having a go with a Minelab X-terra Elite with a smaller V8X coil.
